With the latest Graph Search Update of Facebook, Facebook has made some other changes in UI as well. One of them being Sound notifications. You can Turn Off Facebook Notification Sound {Annoying} by the method explained below.
Step #1
Click the Notifications icon in the top right corner before your display image. After that click Settings
Step #2
You will be taken to the setting page where the Play a sound when each new notification is received is checked by default, so all what we have to do is uncheck it and press Save Changes.
See here we unchecked it in the below image and that annoying sound was sentenced to death :P
